WILSON CREEK WIND PROJECT

LINCOLN COUNTY, NV

Construction value:  $1.4 B

Located on BLM lands in the mountainous Wilson Creek range in southeast Nevada, this wind farm project is slated to have 340 turbines which will produce an estimated 1400 megawatts of power.  If built today, the project would rank in the nation's top five for single project output. Weden Engineering is currently providing consulting, preliminary engineering, planning, construction cost estimating, and permitting services.

VIRGINIA PEAK WIND FARM

NEVADA

Construction value:  $150 M

The project is a 100 MW, 44-turbine wind farm planned for a site about 20 miles northeast of Sparks, Nevada. It is currently in the design and permitting phase and is slated for construction in fall of 2010. Rising nearly 5,000 feet above the nearby flats, the project is very mountainous, posing complex construction logistics and design challenges. Weden Engineering currently provides land-use, consulting and preliminary engineering services.

CONDON WIND FARM

GILLIAM COUNTY, OR

Construction value:  $80 M

Condon Wind Farm was the first commercial wind farm in the state of Oregon.  Built on a 10 square mile area of private farmland and completed in 2002, the wind farm has 83 turbine towers which generate enough energy to serve 10,500 homes.  Original agricultural activities continue to thrive amidst the turbine pads.  Weden Engineering provided consulting, engineering, planning and permitting for roads and turbine layout, construction documents for service roads and public improvements, and construction logistics design.

ST. LEON WIND FARM

MANITOBA, CANADA

Construction value:  $120 M

St. Leon was the first commercial wind farm in the Province of Manitoba.  Situated on a 36 square mile site, 63 turbines provide 104 megawatts of energy to serve Manitoba and 8 states in midwest U.S.  In addition to providing clean energy, the wind farm has benefited the local economy through jobs, tourism, and revenue to local landowners.  Weden Engineering provided preliminary engineering, planning, permitting for roads and turbine layout, construction documents for service roads and public improvements, construction logistics design, and survey management.design, and survey management.
